The 1885 Washington School restoration
Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011
The 1885 Washington School in Round Pond, a village school for grades 1-8 built around 1885 is now being restored by the Round Pond Schoolhouse Association. Please visit and see our progress since August of 2007. We have almost completed our renovations. This February (2011) we completed the re-construction of the old outhouse except for exterior siding. It now has one composting toilet as well as an emergency stair case from the second floor Museum. In warmer weather we will complete our exterior painting and siding.
